About Me

I make records with and for other people as a producer, programmer, engineer, mixer, remixer, writer and musician. I've also toured extensively playing electronic instruments (including the Reactable) as musical director of Björk's "Volta" band.
While I love my simple studio in the forest on Canada's West Coast, my career has seen me recording on every continent except Antarctica (so far, anyway) and I regularly travel to work with artists. Before moving to my current base in Canada I made a vast number of records in the narrow and winding lanes of London over a 10 year period. I lost some years of my adolescence in beautiful New Zealand after my formative years in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Alberta, Canada.
It's well worth saying that I am finding these current "crisis" times in the music industry the most fun and exciting I have ever seen; the potential for new, uncompromising, and truly human music to emerge and connect with an audience is completely inspiring to me.
When time is on my side I dabble with own tripped out throbby electroacoustic music and do remixes under the name Stone Lions.
I'm the devoted husband of Kelly and proud father of Elvie.
Send me a message with your email address if you want a recent discography or check www.damiantaylor.com for a completely pretentious and out of date biography, along with a somewhat out of date discography.
