Kohabit
Add to My Profile | More VideosHailing from Salt Lake City, Utah. Talent, dedication, expierience, and an optimistic outlook on life are not the only things looking up for the 5-piece known as Kohabit. Originally founded 3 years ago by Chris, Jared, and Justin. These three musicians alone have been through more mentally and musically then most bands go through in a lifetime. In August 2004 they found an ill-expierienced, talent waiting in the basement.. A guitarist by the name of Ryan Roybal, whom brought the metal technique of the band to a sharper edge. Kohabit was now progressing at a much faster pace then they ever imagined, but something was holding them back. Not being able to play the national shows they were now being offered, they had to release their close friend and band mate Steve Murphy from the band. Looking everywhere for a new drummer to fit the perfection that Kohabit offered. They then Andrew Hood.we are currently looking for a new drummer if you or anyone you know is interested in playing with kohabit please email us ..
"The fan base is growing every show. Shows are only getting better."
-Dana (Mental Health Promotions)
Every show Kohabit plays, where they are able to independently promote. Kohabit will pack 200+ supporting fans into a venue that rarely sees 50.
"It's amazing to see all the kids at each show. We've recognized that without them... We are nothing."
-Kohabit members
Kohabit has already been able to independently book and tour on both Mid-West and West coast tours, design and distribute their own merchandise and record and display their 5 song sampler AND a full legth cd. Chemistry through music is therefore creativity. Drawing inspirations through many of influences such as: Killswitch Engage, Saosin, Lamb of God, Unearth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Darkest Hour, Misery Signals, etc.. Kohabit brings a new term to the table of Hardcore and Metal alike. "The talent, creativity, and devotion is here and is in all of our hearts."
"This is the reason we wake up in the morning feeling good about ourselves, knowing that somewhere out there someone is listening to the energy we produce in the form of Harmony, Melody, and Rhythm. To the feeling of excitement, motivation, as well as inspiration. We are in this to move the masses.
