I'm Kyle! (aka KLR142)

About Me

I'm a guy who is a car freak(don't be scared). I've always lived in OR, like to play all sports(but don't often enough), drive/race, ride my bike(s) and play Gran Tourismo. I like almost all music, old, new, rock, rap, but I don't like country or too much mushy gushy pop or other stuff that's slow. Some slower songs I like, but I like a lot of face paced stuff. I'm mean, polite, nice, caring, touchy-feely, sometimes blunt and/or stubborn. Oh, and I think too much, seriously. It's not really a good thing either. The indecisiveness isn't the best either. And here's my life story since HS... Sooooooo, long story somewhat short: Went to OSU for a year and a half studying Mechanical Engineering, and halfway through winter term soph. year, I decided I had had enough. Math was the most bullshit ever because of a few things, and when I went to withdraw from that class, it was too late to withdraw from a single class. I took it as a reason to withdraw from the university all together. I didn't like the way I was being taught, or better, NOT being taught, so I stopped. I'm not sure if I'm going to be going back to school for ME or not, but only time will tell. I definitely did not like the fact that I had to teach myself to actually learn anything. That's NEVER been my style of learning, (well, with cars I do lots of reading, but that's good reading, lol) and I've never had to REALLY sit down and do bookwork like I was required to sophmore year. I just couldn't make myself do it. So, I stopped going, worked at the Baskin Robbinses down in Corvallis AND Eugene(same owner) until my lease was done, and moved back up to Portland into the Duplex that I now live in. I originally worked at the Beaverton Baskin Robbins that I worked at during Highschool when I came back up, but then I got this other job as a mechanic downtown in the NW Industrial Area right off of 23rd, so that gradually took over. Then, some meanie bought Baskin Robbins and fired all of the old workers, so it's been just the mechanic job since March. It's going pretty well, just got a decent raise... So I finally got that bike that I've been wanting forever and a half. Good gas mileage here I come! More trips to Corvallis on the cheap too. It gets like three times as many miles per gallon as my car does! Well, one of my cars, don't know what the other two get, not currently on the road.
So, that was the long story short, NOT. That pretty much sums it up, lol.
Actually, there's more now. I just got hired at the waterfront Marriott Hotel as a Valet... SWEET! So it's that AND Eurocar now. Oye. Busy busy!Oooh ooh? Update again? I started working for my dad part time at his lazer engraving shop(raygun-digital.com), but don't have time for that much anymore because I JUST QUIT EUROCAR AND STARTED WORKING FOR THE V SHOP this November. KICKASS! Salary, paid vacations, benefits, bonuses, the feeling of being in a secure job and not having to worry about what I'll be doing in the future is GREAT.Just ask if you want to know more!
