A few years prior, I started listening to 80's/early 90's hard rock bands (Hair bands if you will), and I fell in love with that style of music. I was mainly inspired to write at the time, by the then lead singer of Warrant, Jani Lane. I thought, and still do think, that he is an amazing song writer. I also found inspiration in a few other vocalists, such as, Jon Bon Jovi, Bret Michaels, Steven Tyler, Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, Joe Elliot, and even Neil Diamond (amazing songwriter) to name a few. At first my lyrics were pretty bad...but as time went by, and i experienced new things, they got better. At 17, after stumbling through ideas of what to do with my life, I finally knew what I wanted to be...a rock 'n' roll vocalist. There were a couple of ill-fated attempts to start a band with some of my friends. I then graduated in 1999, and still without a band, I had to find a better paying job. In 2000/2001, some friends and I formed a band, and began learning some cover songs. After a few months our practices started getting filled with goofy songs (partially my fault), but it wasn't the direction I wanted to take with a band. The no-name band later broke up after lack of practice space. A few more years went by, and still having no luck with bands, I continued writing lyrics. Then, in October of 2006, I landed the lead vocalist role in a band called Stained Vengeance...(They are a talented bunch of guys. Check them out if you have the chance.) We recorded our own 6 song demo, and started playing shows. We weren't getting many offers to play, as a matter of fact, we got turned down a lot...our style of music wasn't very popular in the area, and nobody wanted to do shows with us. Most of the venues around where we live were mostly drawing in hardcore bands or bands that sounded like Fall Out Boy, or something like that. I don't really follow a lot of the latest music out there. I'm very picky when it comes to my music. We were driven mostly by the 80's hard rock/heavy metal music. We took a small break in December to collect our thoughts, and create a gameplan for getting shows and spreading our name around. But something happened during that break, and I felt pulled in another direction. By the end of January, I had left Stained Vengeance, on good terms, performing my last show with them at the New Columbia Civic Center. In July of '07, I joined a band called Tea Bag. I was a co-lead singer. After two shows, the band split up. Now, here I am, striking out on my own, soon to be bringing my music to all of you.
