(Biography)Welcome all readers to the page of "The Teen King of Detroit" who is known as Young Jay Reall, the 15 year old rap artist, " Jairell D. Ponder" from Detroit, Michigan. He was born on Detroit’s Eastside at Hutzel Hospital September 29, 1993. Until he was 5 years old he and his mother stayed on Detroit’s eastside. At the age of 13 he moved in with his aunt in Southfield and attended Southfield Lathrup High School, Which is the age at when he got foreall in pursuing a music career, and now attends Southfield High.
Young Jay Reall started rapping at the age of ten just messing around with old school rap, and beat boxin. He began a serious endeavor with hip hop at the age of thirteen, recording his first mix tape 313 Prince. 313 Prince included the single's (BETTA STEP BACK) and (BACK UP). Betta Step Back had 2,298 hits on MySpace, while (Back Up) had over 1008 hits on MySpace. Young Jay Reall's debut performance was back on Prevost at his 14th birthday party. That was the same day 313 Prince was released and sold out the first 200 copies to friends and family on the first day.
Young Jay Reall has made several performances since his debut, such as the Hip Hop Mile at Belle Isle, guest performance for the Mayor of Detroit, the Future Gallery, and Opening Up For Pleasure P at the State Fair and The Northwest Activity Center,Liberian Hall, Carz & Starrz @ Northland Mall, and Berts On Broadway
In 2008, Young Jay Reall began working with Fitt and Mz Jonz, and started working on the next mix tape (TEEN KING). Summer 08 Young Jay Reall Started to get his name known around the city and underground rap scene by performing @ numerous events around the city. When the fall came he wanted more performances targeting his audience which is (teenagers). Young Jay Reall Started by Performing @ all the different highschool parties hosted by one of the biggest high school party promoters in the city known as Dj Spindat. With the help of Jay Reall's promoters Iphesh & Evil M, Manager T.k, Fitt & Mz.Jonz, RL ENT, Dj Spindat, and Jigsaw, Jay Reall's name spreaded rapidly and the mixtape sold out before the release party.
The (TEEN KING) mixtape Included features from local detroit artist such as King Gordy, Dollah Jones, Lachanelle, D-lo, and Mz.jonz. Teen King was produced by Fitt @ She So Fly Productions. The Mixtape sold 1,000 copies. The first street single is Heavy Weights Featuring Dollah Jones
Young Jay Reall's Mixtape Release Party was Hosted By another big High school party Promoter by the name of B.jones at Berts on Broadway. Over 900 People showed up. The party got so packed they had to shut it down early.
Young Jay Reall is currently working on his first album. It will Feature prodcution from his own company J.I Productions and She So Fly Productions. The Album will be Released 3rd qaurter 2009
