I am looking for session work as a bassist for recording projects or live shows. I have been playing bass for 22 years. My past bands include Sweet Virginia, Brando, Petrol, The AKtion, and Nik Freitas and The Headgates. With these bands, I have played some of the most historic venues in the country, been nominated for a Bay Area Music Award, and have received national radio airplay. I have also done session work with a diverse group of artists, ranging from the band Rayon to singer-songwriter Rachel Vanslyke .
I am currently a member of Get Set Go (TSR Records) whose music has been heard by millions, having been featured in various films and television shows, including Showtime's Weeds and ABC's Grey's Anatomy. I also currently play acoustic upright bass in El Radio Fantastique .
I have toured the entire country numerous times with the above bands. I have played over 1,000 live gigs, both headlining and opening for such artists as Ben Harper, Marcy Playground, and The Yardbirds. I have hundreds of hours of recording under my belt in some of the top studios in California.
I also have extensive experience writing and arranging songs, both in a collaborative environment as well as on my own.Besides playing bass, I also play guitar, keyboards, and sing.
