Hey everyone. For those who don't know me my name's Cory. I play mandolin. It is the best thing in the world to me, because I've been playing music for longer then I have been in a good mood. Just kidding. Well, I play with my family band known as the Piatt Family Bluegrass Band. We travel a lot and have a ton of fun. I have two brothers named Cody and Owen. They are both awesome musicians. Cody Plays bass, and Owen play banjo. My dad is the guitar man. My mom, well, see plays the camecorder. Well, This is pretty new to me, but so far I have loved having a myspace. I love searching for awesome bands on myspace. My favorites are mountain Heart, Ricky Scaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Alison Krauss and Union Station, the Kenny and Amanda Smith Band, and many, many others. I love listening to all kinds of music, but my al time favorite is bluegrass. I came from music roots because of the fact that my dad had been playing bluegrass music long before I was here. So my older brother Owen,15, eventually started to play as well, and the from there it was me and then Cody My twin. My favorite part of bluegrass is playing at festivals and competitions. You get to meet so many awesome pickers at competitions and festivals. I love getting t jam with those guys. They are what make bluegrass music so great! My favorite mandolin players are Adam Steffey, Jason Robertson, Chris Thile, Ron Inscore, Andy Leftwich, and many more. These guys have to be the reason for me that I play and love it. It's because they make you want to do better at the music and nail every note that you do. In other words they inspire you. Well, I live in Nashville TN. I have an Eastman mandolin. I also have an Aria mandolin, but the Eastman is a lot newer. The Eastman I got in Febuary of 05 and have picked a lot more sence that time. It has been amazing. One of the jazz musicians I really like is Jethro Burns from Homer and Jethro. My favorite albums are wide open by mountain heart, and lonley runs both ways, by AKUS. Those are just two of them. I can't type them all because of the fact that hand would be sore for another week or two,l0l. I can't wait until this summer. I have a ton of shows going on. Like I'm playing in Wisconson! That is going to be a kick in the butt. And I'm also doing a tour in Colorado.I can not wait to play that show because of the fact that Colorado is beautiful!!!! Well I'm going to Kentucky in a few weeks and playing some shows. I'm playing at Lonny's Grand Ole garage festival with III time out. That should be awesome. I'm just going to have an all around great time. I can't wait another minute!!!!!!!!!I have been blessed very highly in the music. I have had the chance to play with many of today's bluegrass experts such as Adam Steffey of Mountain Heart, Stephen Mougin of Sam Bush, Zach Mclamb of Kenny and Amada Smith, Jason Robertson of Alecia Nugent, Joey Cox of Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Andy Leftwich of Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, and some more. I have a had a great experince so in the music i love to play. It's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!Well, I'll let ya go. Hope you enjoy my myspace page. Thanks,
