I am a musician with strong roots in bluegrass and country. As a child in a rural Eastern Kentucky town, I was constantly steeped in mountain or folk music. This influence shaped my singing style which I carry with me into the genres of country-western, blues and even rock-n-roll. My choices of instrument were also flavored by my upbringing. I play guitar, fiddle, mandolin and bass. From childhood stringed instruments were readily available to me so I was able to practice day and night. Which I did. As an adult I have travelled the country playing music with performers like, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Lost and Found, Lonesome River Band, Stealin’ Horses, Hi Falutin’ and others. Or as I like to say, "I’ve played two weeks with everybody."
