Mapulon is a project started by coincidence and a need by both members Paul Cullen and Marlon Cherry to do the smoothest tunes this side of London and ofcourse the rest of the World.The twosome were united by a mutual friend after a chat that these mutual friends had about the musical aspirations of both the artist's!Paul and Marlon met in the Summer of 1999 and so began a fruitful musical relationship locked up in the Paul's studio based in Norwich.At the time Paul was putting the finishing touches to his main band "Taxi's" second succesfull album "Blue Zero One" the follow up to "Chocolate",his first offering to the world."B.Z.O" was released on the infamous Frankfurt,German based independent label "Infracom Record's",the album shifted thousand's of record's all over the world,to date,fact!Paul hooked Marlon up to do backing vocal's on "B.Z.O" but while doing this they were working on their own sideline project,"Mapulon" which you now have the oppurtunity to freely listen too!!Marlon along with Enzo and his italian band mates went on to release an album with the Italian based outfit called "Ganesh" the album was called "Club21" a follow up to "Sopra La Soglia" which like "B.Z.O" is still available to buy!If you want?Marlon and his group "Ganesh" are preparing for their third release "Life Is Beautiful" soon so keep your eyes peeled!After the successful release of "B.Z.O" and "Chocolate" with the exceptionally talented and soulful Jo Laundy on vocals(who duet's with Marlon on Alwayz on my Mind), Taxi released their third successfull album "The Accessory" under Infracom records,which as "B.Z.O" is not deleted yet and is available,if you want?On the "Mapulon" scenario,feel free to enjoy these unreleaesed tracks (all of which have received much airplay on Europe's most popular lounge/nu-jazz/house/electronica net radio stations like lounge-radio.com,swissgroove.com and radio42.com)as we are in talks with various people in the game and if things go according to plan you will be hearing em soon,all we say is watch this space!! music layout @ Unique MySpace Layouts - Movie Layouts - Music Layouts - More MySpace Layouts! - MySpace Tools
