I'm a writer. I've written a lot of stories and, so far, one novel. I also work as a teacher and tutor. I live in San Francisco, near a sometimes sunny park. I mostly grew up here in the Bay Area. Originally though, I'm from the Midwest-- Omaha, Nebraska to be exact.
About my book:
Up High in the Trees is now out in paperback! To celebrate, I'll be reading at THE BOOKSMITH on Monday, June 23rd at 7:00 PM. Please come and please bring your bookish friends--afterwards, we'll all go across the street for drinks.

"The treasures here are exquisite. . . . This is a heartbreaking novel, which should be read in a single, reverent hush. . . . Sebby's innocent voice speaks for anyone bravely grasping for order and solace amid unspeakable loss."
--Ron Charles, The Washington Post Book World
"Like Faulkner's Benjy (The Sound and the Fury), Sebby is most unusual for the lyrical intensity of his inner life, and the strongest impression this fine debut leaves is his nicely achieved voice, which is moving without being precious."
--Madison Smartt Bell, The New York Times Book Review
