Position of Pilot formed in Jan.'07 and hail from the Chicago,IL area. Rooted primarily in Rock music such as Led Zepplin,Black Sabbath,Clutch,Pantera,Motley Crue,Danzig, and Alice in Chains to name a few. Vocalist Curt Delhotal explains how "The whole goal of having a cognitive and vital band is not to just write good songs but write songs that conjure up movement and excitement in the listener. A majority of the time, complicated song writing doesn't seem to be enough to satisfy a living, breathing, entity and falls into the pool of artists that flood our radio waves." Adds guitarist and vocalist Keith Milligan, "Some of the greatest songs ever, revolve around a combination of great lyrics with a simple song structure. We just try to write and play songs that we have fun with and everyday people latch onto and relate to." Drummer Mike Jenkins agrees. "Groove is absolute. Something you just can't help but move along to is the goal of this rhythm section. From early on we decided that these are the key ingredients in a strong backbone to a successful band." Position of Pilot's raw,dirty,tight sound,mixed with their straight ahead song structure and tight live performance are quickly making them one of the premier acts to follow.
