Music:
I like a variety of music...i usually just scan the radio and listen to whatever is good at the moment. Where words fail, music speaks. - Hans Christian Andersen
Movies:
I like all sorts of movies...pretty much everything, but my least favorite is sci-fi. I love all the Tyler Perry movies and plays...they are must sees! =) I can't wait til "Twilight" comes out December '08!!!
Television:
I don't have free time too often so when I do I prefer to watch movies instead of tv shows, plus tv shows just aren't like they used to be.
Books:
The BIBLE of course....I love to read!
Quotes I like:
To run away from danger, instead of facing it, is to deny one's faith in man and God, even one's own self. It were better for one to drown oneself than live to declare such bankruptcy of faith. - Mahatma Gandhi
There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there. - Indira Gandhi
Silence is argument carried on by other means. - Ernesto "Che" Guevara
There is one purpose to life and one only: to bear witness to and understand as much as possible of the complexity of the world - its beauty, its mysteries, its riddles. The more you understand, the more you look, the greater is your enjoyment of life and your sense of peace. That's all there is to it. If an activity is not grounded in 'to love' or 'to learn,' it does not have value. - Anne Rice
I've recently (in the past year) read: "Don't Make a Black Woman Take off Her Earrings" by Tyler Perry, "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" by Terri McMillan, "The Memory Keepers Daughter" by Kim Edwards, the "Twilight" series ("Twilight", "New Moon" and "Eclipse"-I loved these! Read all 3 in 8 days with a day break between books!) by Stephenie Meyer, "Echo Park" by Michael Connelly, "Dancing in the Dark" by Mary Jane Clark, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini (The movie is pretty good, but of course the book is much better), "Oceans Apart" by Karen Kingsbury, "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti, "Predator" by Patricia Cornwell, "A Child Called 'It'" and "The Lost Boy" by Dave Pelzer and I'm sure a few more that I'm forgetting!
I am currently reading: "Experiencing Spiritual Breakthroughs: The Powerful Principle of the Three Chairs" by Dr Bruce Wilkinson and "House of Sand and Fog" by Andre DubusIII. And I can't wait til "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer comes out Fall '08.
Heroes:
Jesus Christ:
Psalm 91:2 - I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust.
