About Me
mica bando (aka micanx, torico -murr*murr-) was born into the classical musician's family. Her grand mother is a famous piano teacher, her mom is a well-known classical pianist, and her dad is a well-known as a classical music producer, opera singer and a prof. in her home country, Japan. She started her musical career at the age of 4.
Graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music as a major of classical piano performance. mica was accepted numerous competitions in Japan, and participated in master classes at the seminars all over the world. Moreover, mica graduated from Berklee College of Music as a major of Music Synthesis. After all, she started to diversify her musical sense, and; blend her sense of classical music and electronic music.
mica worked with various artists, not only musicians, but also photographers, visual artists, and fashion designers. Throughout her career, collaborations are essential to make her brilliant. One of her accomplishments is an electronic-pop band, called murr*murr, which is formed by Wataru Abe, Takuya Morikawa, and herself in 2004. murr*murr released the first album, called "Daydream", from Fenomeno. Inc in 2006.
Currently, resides in New York. mica is composing her own album, and working for various projects.
