With Marty Stuart and Larry Paxton,Kristin was nominated for a Golden Globe award for best musical score on the movie ALL THE PRETTY HORSES.She orchestrated and conducted on top chart record releases for various artists including Neil Young, Sixpence None the Richer, Alabama, Jimmy Buffett, Indigo Girls, Melissa Manchester, Patti Griffin, Nancy Griffith and Roy Orbison, to name but a few. Most recently, Kristin has orchestrated on the film release “Daddy and Them”, and composed “Animal Planet” network ID’s and “Video Postcards”.Her accomplishments are as diverse as arranging ten number one hits for the group Alabama to playing viola on Jewel’s 7-million-selling album called “Pieces of You”. In addition, she has collaborated with jazz artist Bela Fleck and fiddle virtuoso Mark O’Connor for performances with the Boston Pops Orchestra.As a violist and violinist, Kristin has played on the David Letterman Show, MTV Movie awards and the last eight Country Music Association award shows. In addition, she has performed on recent record releases by Neil Young, Elton John, Sixpence None the Richer, Patty Loveless, Matchbox 20, Johnny Cash, Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Leanne Rimes, Whitney Houston and Vince Gill.Kristin has produced her own instrumental albums: The A Strings “Home for Christmas” (Warner Bros.), “Western Swing”, a retrospective, a Classical Piano album (Green Hill Records), “Music for String Lovers” (Provident Records) as well as the new 3ABN release...”For every Kindred,Tongue and Nation”.Most recently, Kris, along with Dierks Bentley and Brett Beavers, composed the string arrangement for Bentley's performance of hit current hit single "Long Trip Alone" for the 2007 CMT Awards Show. Along with other members of the acclaimed Nashville String Machine, she performed on the live broadcast for Bentley's performance as well as for the world premiere of Bon Jovi's new single "Make a Memory" on the same broadcast. Another video is the "behind-the-scenes" of the recording sessions with British singing sensation James Morrison - Kris played on a number of the tracks on Morrison's US debut "Undiscovered". On July 14, 2007 - Kris is performing as a member of the full orchestra for the highly anticipated Tower of London concert Dave Stewart's Songbook with Dave Stewart and an all-star band.
