About Me

Straight out Boston, Massachusetts came a young aspiring rapper named C-Notes. C-Notes was raised in a broken home back and forth between both parents because of a split a month before his birth. Before C-Notes teenage years he would lock himself in his room listening to nothing but his step father’s Tupac Shakur records and his father’s old school dance hall reggae tapes. Adapting more into the rap world after listening to Tupac and Jam’n 94.5FM he bought his 1st rap CD; Juvenile’s 400 Degrees ever since than C-Notes had his ears deep into Hip Hop. When attending City On a Hill Charter School in Roxbury his study hall teacher Mr. Raheem Muhammad seen a talent in him after seeing consistent drive write music in class. Raheem decided to take him and two fellow classmates to a recording studio. After his 1st studio session in 2003 with Nelly Protools in Brookline, Massachusetts he could not keep himself away from recording.
The music industry has not been able to handle rap artists of Massachusetts in the best of ways. You can see that from artists such as Benzino former co-owner of the Source Magazine and member of Boston’s legendary rap group Made Men and The Almighty RSO. Benzino’s beef with Dr. Dre’s artist Eminem might have put a dent into the way people have put there eye on Boston, but C-Notes is ready to change that. C-Note’s is only eighteen years old and is ready to take the music industry by storm. Right now you might be asking your self why should C-Note’s be the one to change the view on Boston or put it on the map without being laughed at. But why not? C-Notes is still fresh and young, has major industry co-signs (The Game’s Black Wall Street, Streetsweepers, and many more), makes powerful music at a aggressive and cocky stand point at one, and last and most important C-Notes knows how to formulate songs.
If it was not for the Jadakiss verse on WW3 featuring Snoop Doggy Dogg, Young Wun, and Scarface off the Ruff Ryder’s Ride or Die V.2 compilation album he probably would not be rapping today. In 7th grade C-Note’s copied the verse down on piece of paper and rapped it to a bunch of friends. He had to stop rapping the Jadakiss verse because fellow students found out it was not his rap. The same night students found him guilty of stealing the verse; C-Notes was up every night writing songs until this day. C-Notes only began writing to prove to fellow students that he could rap without stealing a lines from Jadakiss; Not knowing he would find writing music as a number one passion.
Right now in C-Note’s career he has a buzz coming out of Boston, Massachusetts from his street demo "Crown Me Next" and his fourth quarter of 2006 mixtape "Pray On My Downfall" hosted by Nu Jerzey Devil of The Game’s Black Wall Street, DJ Radio of Kay Slay’s Streetsweepers (Justo Faison’s 2006 Mixtape Rookie of The Year), DJ Maverik of Boston’s Jam’n 94.5 FM, and DJ Money Bags. Since C-Note’s released his street demo "Crown Me Next" he linked up and got in touch with allot of people. C-Note’s chooses to gain his buzz through the mixtapes because that is where he is getting the most love; through the streets with allot of big features and heavy co-signs to come. He has chosen to pick up the mixtape route which has worked for artists such as 50cent, G-Unit, Papoose, and many more until he is picked up by the majors.
Before C-Note’s was into music he was running the streets. If he was never taught not to run these streets he would have been dead or in jail. Three months before the release of "Crown Me Next" C-Notes was arrested in Cambridge for possession of crack-cocaine, intent to distribute, school zone, and drug traffic. In result they gave him a two years suspended sentence because it was his first offense. C-Notes always had this name since he was fifteen running the streets but they called him Fat Boy in his neighborhood in Codman Square. Fat Boy was the name he was given by an old high school friend in 10th grade; which was the same name that was given to the police by an informant in Cambridge, Massachusetts. C-Note’s was not your typical kid on the block. He did not always stay in the same place he choose to move all around to network so he could get money in different places. All of that came to an end though so C-Note’s decided to use his experience on the street in making music....Hopefully this time C-Notes can get some positive results back.
