About Me

jen was born a second generation southern californian and
the eldest child of three in mission viejo, california.
she found art and poetry at a very young age,
perhaps in the womb
her younger siblings say they remember her graffiti
early in her life, she took up writing her ideas and emotions down
to purge her active and wild mind,
which she later realized others considered poetry
she has been published several times locally and internationally
including collector's magazine art/life, muse, flight,
northern arizona's collared peccary and tales of the talisman.
don't let her appearance fool you, she is a rebel in disguise.
a maverick working to transmute the world (and herself)
one poem and one piece of art at a time.
jen gave up the conventional life in temecula, california
to pursue her life as an artist/poet/writer/or "whatever else happens"
she creates two and three dimensional art,
two children's books (writing and illustrating), a novel,
a graphic design company, ywearclothing.com,
designing websites for her businesses and select clients.
and last but not least,
working on becoming an enlightened human being.
little known facts about jen:
* always sleeps closest to the door
* would classify herself as a loner with social tendencies
* often ponders why mosquitos were invented
more commonly known facts about jen:
* likes to laugh, will be the first to laugh at herself
* likes to think she knows what is going on,
pretends she doesn't

Sounds Like:
life...and she is just a bunch of agreements she has made with the universe about what she is going to be at the time. but that could very easily change and might any minute. she is quiet one moment, loud in another. she could be exactly as people suspect but nothing like they expected. once you think you have her figured out, she'll pull another rabbit out of the hat. you could put many labels on her that don't mean a thing, but might describe her for a moment.
she is a caring person, but practices the buddhist principle of detached compassion. except for the very few that get under her skin (you will know if you are one of them).
she is a creative person, but like most creative individuals, she has not yet reached her full potential (she still has hope for herself). she likes writing poetry more than prose. she is here on this planet to heal herself and help others do the same through her work. it isn't easy to change, but she works on it all the time.
overall, she would say she is a optimistic pessimist. she looks for the light in people with full knowledge we all got just a bit of crap in us.
