About Me

My name is Katie and I am in a relationship and now live in St. Charles with my wonderful fiance Jon . I have two nieces and two nephews that are my life. My little brother is also a big part of my life. I work part time at FedEx Freight and fill in at my old job. I tried the whole college thing and it just wasn't for me. Right now I am leveling my WoW character. I didn't want to play but something in my head said "go ahead, give it a shot" and now my fiance, who wanted me to play in the first place, can't get me off of it. I am currently playing a level 70 Gnome Warlock named Iole (Hawaiian for mouse).

My Interests

My family and friends. They are number one in my life. I work a lot so therefore, it has to be one of my interests. We all have our days when nothing goes right and I think that that happens more to me than anyone else. I also like tattoos and piercings. I have a total of 9 piercings and 6 tattoos. I at one point had 10 piercings, but I had to take out the 10th one. I love art and history, but not art history. I like movies, television, and music. I like to read, relax, and have fun with my nieces and brother.

Mainly 70's and 80's rock bands... Lynard Skynard, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith... I also like some of the new stuff... Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Jamie Foxx, The Black Eyed Peas...

Movies:

Omg, there are so many that I cannot think. Dirty Dancing still has to be my number one and number two has to be Rock-A-Doodle because it came out right around the time that my grandpa died. It's a comfort movie. Also, it doesn't help that I know all the words to all the songs. :o) I am a giant fan of all the Tim Burton movies, with the exeception of Planet of the Apes. I mean, come on! What the hell was he thinking?!?! Don't get me wrong, I liked the Planet of the Apes, but they are the original ones.

This is my all-time favorite movie quote and it is scary on just how much it applies to real life:

Television:

I absolutely abhor commercials! I always find two shows that I like that are on at the same time that way when one of them is on commercial, I can watch another. What really makes me mad is when I change from one commercial just to find another one waiting for me on the other channel.

Books:

The Harry Potter Series; The Keys to the Kingdom series; Life is Just What You Make It : My Story So Far; Elvis and Me; The DaVinci Code and a collection of J.R.R. Tolkien books including: The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

Heroes:

Didn't anyone ever tell you that worshipping people was not a good thing?!?!?! But I would honestly have to say Mozilla Firefox rules my world! My page is best viewed in it!!
