effenHector- "effen" in Dutch meaning "Smooth", was born in San Francisco, California. Growing up in the heart of the Mission District, he was brought up listening to different sounds of music due to his the multicultural surroundings. As a teen he was influenced by DJ's like, Mix Master Mike, Q-Bert, Simply Jeff and other local musicians.From the Bay Area he eventually moved to Southern California. West Coast L.A. known for its hard rock sound from the Sunset Strip and the gangsta rap from the streets! Unknown In the middle, was the L.A. Electronic underground scene, that was rising. He looked, listened and admired the DJ’s that were already revolutionizing in the electronic sound of electro, tech, deep and progressive House music. He was hooked! He wanted to build, nurture and create his own feel of soul and sound. In the begining of 2007, he was determined to start his quest to let L.A. know, Who was effenhector? Since then, he has not looked back!He plans on taking it to another level by being part of L.A.'s up and coming House music revolution. Letting the electronic music scene around the world know that the West Coast knows how to put the dance floors on FIRE!!!
