"Los Black" - A Mexican Jazz Quartet that was born by the ideal of 4 young and active musicians of making some good music. This proyect comes from many musical directions, taking jazz as the starting point but without forgetting all of the other genres that had inspired us such as classical music, popular music from the world, and obviousy music from our country. We pretend to develop as many musical ideas as possible and take them to a high and professional performance. The performance of original songs, some arranged standards, and some traditional pieces are the repertoire we usually play. The band members are Gerry Lopez (sax) from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Nacho Alcántara (guitar) from Mexico City, Jaime Ferrada (bass & double bass) from Santiago, Chile and Gustavo Nandayapa (Drums/Percussion) from Chiapas, Mexico.
