ERIN FITZGIBBON

Singer/Songwriter, Erin Fitzgibbon was born in Joplin, Missouri but spent most of his life living in Miami, Oklahoma (the same town as Keith Anderson and Joe Don Rooney). He actually played and sang in several rock bands with Joe Don Rooney in Miami, OK. He graduated from Picher High School and went to NEO A&M for 2 years before joining the U.S. Army. Erin had a great love for music and performing. Erin literally played all over the world while he was in the Military: Korea, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, all over Europe including Kosovo and Macedonia. He was honored by the Mayor of Hollywood in Kosovo with an Outstanding Achievement award for boosting troop morale. Shortly after his first stint in the Army he got out to go back to school and further pursue his music career with Joe Don and brother and two other friends. They formed a band called Uncle Thumbtack and won second place at the Philadelphia Music Conference right behind Marcy Playground. Shortly after the band had differences of interest and decided to part ways, Erin went back in the Army for another four years all the while playing and creating his own unique style of writing.
Erin since wrote a song about the troops in Iraq called "God Please Send Your Angels" and used every test market at his disposal, receiving great response so he took it and four other songs to Nashville and recorded them.
