CAPITAL SOUL ®

Capital Soul is a bboy crew that originated from Austin Texas in 1996. The group started out as a battle hungry squad that utilized battle utensils to establish the name. The core members of Capital Soul included Jon Jon, Raymond, Rudy Rexx, Lil D, and Jesus. As the original concept was to combine old school bboy flava with the new school it wasn't difficult to earn props within Austin and the entire state of Texas. When coming up with the name Capital Soul we wanted a name that not only was going to represent our crew (austin being the capital of TX) but also for other bboys all over the world to understand what it means to Capitalize on the soul you were given at birth. On top of that just to represent your SOUL with CAPITAL letters! As time went on we had the intentions on recruiting a future army that lasts til this day. Past and present members of the crew includes Lil D, Bboy Mondo (grimeez), Mike Rendon (grimeez), Rudy Rexx (HaviKORO),B BOY" Since"NOW PART OF(DOLLAZ N' SINCE ENTERTAINMENT), Dominique (grimeez), Santos (bboy city Squad), Omega/Mark (them bad apples, chi town), Jon Jon, Adam, Jesus, and last but not least Rocky. Not to mention the graffiti crew N.B.K. (No boundaries Krew) for always making the fresh designs for the crews gear. Capital Soul had members from the 80's generation of bboys in Austin which were previously in Cosmo Crew inspired by the legendary Chucky Bocanegra of C.B.S., AL "Skam" Martinez (R.I.P.)(GRAFFITI WISE) & The world famous "Rock Steady Crew". As the crew continued to grow they went on to battling crews from all over the southwest. Not to mention battling KAOS bboys, WHYNOS, and the world famous K.O.R.O. (before Havik joined) consistently to test the skills. As the years went by members came and went starting up their own businesses, Djin, joining other crews, goin to college, and travelling the world with bboying. Capital Soul will always be a part of Austin and world Bboy history.
