Choopa and Steff started making music about 3 years ago, a direct consequence of their childish dream of having a band coming true. After recording some acoustic song concepts, it was apparent a second guitar player was needed. Recruiting Choopa's schoolfriend Vladislav they went on to create the first "complete" Infidel song "Servant Of The Bones". The driving idea of the band was creating something new, different from the bland and unoriginal bands that made up the musical scene of a town once renowned for its fresh and critically acclaimed artists. There was heavy competition for the place of the bass player and eventually Nikola a.k.a. Prika, another schoolmate, won the place simply by spending an awful lot of time with the members and being the only one of the candidates willing to buy a bass (which he never played before, and got a one part of the money from Steff's brother Uki, and the other from his friend Jelena). The next song to be recorded was kind of of a u-turn from the "Servant Of The Bones" (a song sounding like"Stephen King playing a Black Sabbath tune"), "It's always so much fun to pick up the pieces" was a industrial tingled rock-out dedicated to a paranoid-schizophrenic friend. The band also recorded an initial version of "9th circle of Hell" that featured electronically added drums and keyboard parts were played by Steff's mom, on a keyboard borrowed from the children day-care center in which she worked. Not completely satisfied with the current situation they set on a quest to find an able drummer, a extraordinarily difficult task, for the number of drummers in the immediate surroundings was in one word small (in other words there were none). Luckily for the band, from out of nowhere (more accurately the suburban neighborhood of Majur) came Ranko, the darkest drummer in the dark darkness of dark drummers, and after disappearing for a month agreed to join the band. After many months of rehearsals the band finally got a chance to play at a rock marathon in a near by village of Leshnica. That night remains a very painful memory. After a few more gigs that didn't have the word "CATASTROPHE" in their description, they decided to record a demo, featuring 3 tracks plus an intro and outro, which was recorded in a record amount of time (nearly outside of human possibilities). The events that followed brought to the first major problems for the band. Forced to move outside of Shabac to go to college, and the abundance of obligations towards it, made it severely difficult to concentrate on the band. Due to the impossibility to adjust their schedule to fit the rehearsals, and be sacrifice free for all, and after many cancellations on Vladislav's part, it became apparent that things weren't going for the best.Something had to be done. The solution wasn't the nicest of ones, but was the only one. After 6 months of absolute stagnation, regretfully, they decided to dismiss Vladislav from the band, for his lack of commitment and desire to concentrate strictly on his studies made any progress impossible. They immediately recruited Steff's younger brother Uki, a guitar prodigy, started rehearsing again and performed on the Easter Rock Marathon in their home town(they have an unusual habit of playing at shows named "rock marathon").New songs are abundant, new ideas bright and shiny, and the recording of the second demo is planned for the summer, hopefully under more humane conditions.
