LOVE TO TRAVEL! RECENTLYTRAVELS HAVE SERVED TO REMIND ME HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO EAT RIGHT!A huge interest of mine is travel and languages. I think that moving outside of our comfort zones physically by traveling and mentally by learning new languages helps keep our brains supple and strong and our hearts young and full of life

FIRST CONCERT I EVER WENT TO: BY THEY ROCKED! I love all kinds of music; but, I don't care too much for country western or opera; although, some of each kind (country western & opera) I do get into; like, just for example: Johhny Cash, and Pavoratti. I do like serious music; but, I also like music that's just for fun; I love world music (especially the sitar!). My favorite radio program is either "Nothing but the Blues" from K-Jazz (broadcasting from C.SU.L.B.) or, Morning Becomes Eclectic (broadcasting from the Santa Monica City College campus)hmmm...specific music I like: Sex Pistols & Mozart & everything in between! hah! last concerts I went to...Leo Kottke, Hapa, , Charley Musslewhite, Black Flag....Concerts I'd like to go to: Eminem (the man is a lyrical GENIUS), The Reverend Horton Heat, Kraftwerk, Leona Boyd, ummm...favorite performances I've witnessed of ALL TIME: The Orb LITTLE FLUFFY CLOUDS, by the Orb Judas Priest (Screaming For Vengence tour), The Rolling Stones, THE WHO! Aerosmith, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top, Leo Kottke, Pepe Romero, Oingo Boingo, Black Flagg (the underground Vegas show; it propelled me out of Punk Rock- I'm really not that angry of a person; but, good music!), Stevie Winwood (under the stars at Ceasar's Palace-Vegas), Crosby Stills & Nash (a sneak peak at the true "love generation"-too groovy), Buffalo Springfield, BB King, THE GAP BAND (man! disco freaking Rocks Too! who knew?!), The Untouchables, Dave Wakeling, Sublime, Eric Sardinas, RUN DMC , The B52'S, Accept, Iron Maiden, Amy Shrack ( the pre- Grace Kennedy edition, one random night at Florentine's a long time ago)...LEAST Favorite performances of all time: with a couple of notable exceptions (namely a few sessions hosted by a man I collaboated with for a period in time named "noJ";), anything I've ever seen at an open-mic show, Ozzy Osbourne (yawwnnn...), Van Hagar, The Scorpions (Blackout tour-these guys needed a nap before the show, I think). Performances I WISH I could've seen while they were still around: Nirvana, Brother Iz (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole), Ella Fitzgerald, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Mozart, The Sex Pistols, The Police, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Metallica (the pre-sobriety version-even though I'm glad that they've pulled the plug on the self-distruct countdown they were on), Sly & Robbie (back when they were producing music like the song: "River Niger"), The Doors, Pearl Jam... A Musician that is still around and that I really want to see: CHECK THIS OUT, SPEAKERS ON, IF YOU CAN: ...Music I'm listening to a lot lately: 40 gigs worth of 80 gig iPod on shuffle! hah hah (thankyou DJ DrewP!;) seriously though: a lot of Thievery Corporation; old New Order; Beck's "1000 BPM"; X's "Ain't Love Grand"; Buena Vista Social Club soundtrack; & some super-old Judas Priest as well: "Tyrant", "Sinner", "Stained Class"...that kind of stuff! and I always seem to find time to throw on "Some Girls" by the Rolling Stones:) also digging DJ Jean's "The Launch" & Darude's "Sandstorm"; and, I'm CONSTANTLY hitting up DJ Drew P at work to play Murray Head's "One Night In Bangkok"! If I could see ANY concert tomorrow, who would it be? Hmmmmmmm.... yeah, pretty much!
My Standard Answer when someone says, "What's your favorite movie?" is: "Rancho Deluxe". And I loved Napoleon Dynamite! STRANGE/FUNNY/SAD/WEIRD MOVIE I SAW: "SEX IS ZERO"!
KUNG FU! (he's about to pour hot-wax onto his own nipples! hah!) one of my favorite TV series of ALL TIME! ALSO:MORE RECENTLY: SQUID BILLYS ON ADULT SWIM RULES! also, I recently saw all of SAMURAI CHAMPLOO! what a GREAT cartoon! I sometimes have the Weather Channel on all day long. I think it's absolutely amazing that I can see what the weather is like on any given day for my family & friends in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Santiago; or, my friends in Hawaii, Nebraska, South Carolina, Florida, Denmark, France, and Germany. I am constantly amazed by satellite images. My favorite tv lately though is Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network....Squid Billies...sick, sick, sick but enormously entertaining stuff! As cynical as my selection of Squid Billies is (with regards to my tv-choices) I have to admit: I LOVE PUCCA!

Some of my favorite books Of All Time: "The Prophet", by Kahlil Gibran, "The Art Of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama, The entire Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy & Resteraunt At the End Of The Universe series by Douglas Adams (haven't seen the movie-yet). Let's see....who do I first think of when I think of the word, "Heroe"? (that is, of course, besides the lass running to our rescue up above there ;-) I must admit that my mom & step-dad spring instantly to mind! Heroes (not related to me!) that I have seen with my own two eyes: Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, & Reinhold Messner. As far as people that affect my decision making on an every-day basis...that list is chotto muzukashi (a little complicated) to generate, but here goes anyways: Benjamin Franklin, Ralph Nader, Martin Luther King Jr. & Malcom X, Gandhi, John Lenon, Jacques Cousteau, Douglas Adams & Mark Twain, Dr. Seuss & Charles Shultz, Jesus Christ, Buddha, The Prophet Kahlil Gibran, Musashi, Chief Joeseph of the Nez Perce Tribe, The 40 Ronin, George Washington, Thomas Edison, and Isaac Newton.
