About Me

Band Bio...
Backtrax is a five piece party band formed by the lead singer several years ago. 2008 has been busy, busy, busy and has seen us playing one of the biggest halls in Wales (Brangwyn in Swansea), several beach parties, numerous weddings, birthdays and pub gigs. We've been filling regular slots at some of the best live music venues that west Wales has to offer and are looking to expand on this for 2009! We might actually get time to do some festivals next year!!Based in west Wales we aim to get people dancing and our ever expanding set lists of popular covers from the last 50 years illustrates that, with great songs from The Beatles and the Rolling Stones through to Stereophonics and Scissor Sisters. We've finally got videos posted on YouTube and ultimately linked on this site, so keep coming back to see updates and new stuff. We've also got a pretty full calendar already, so if you want to hire us please get in touch as soon as possible so as not to be dissapointed!Either call Andy on 01559 362 826 or leave us a message via MySpace. Phoning is more reliable. :o)

Video Killed the Radio Star - Made famous by The Buggles, covered by The Feeling

Summer of 69 - As made famous by Bryan Adams
Influences: Too many to mention them all... but greats like The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Thin Lizzie, a dash of T-Rex and a just a drizzle of Blues Brothers, with a host of others thrown in for fun. All eras from blues to rock and roll and Motown to pop. With new great music appearing all the time you can’t afford to ignore anyone!
Sounds Like: Hopefully we sound a bit like the bands that first did the hits that we use on stage, but to be honest it's not the most important thing. As long as we sound like we're having a good time and that rubs off on the crowd then we've done what we set out to do!!

By the power of Brangwyn... We Have the POWER! [tm]

Picture the scene... one year ago I was standing in a very impressive (read 'HUGE) hall in Swansea surrounded by 100 beers, a couple of hundred people and watching a band go through the motions on sta...

Gigs, caffeine and very high tides!!!

Gigs are like busses.  I'm pretty sure that most non-professional bands (ie, not the ones that have their tours lined up for them months in advance by a team of dedicated tour managers, but rathe...

The Welsh Area51... or Gig in the Mountains

We got this gig on the strength of a Cellar Bar gig we did months ago, and the guy whose birthday it was we were to play at saw us again another three times before his birthday actually rolled around,...

Stoodunts...

Last night's gig was starting to feel like a late season football title clash... the team was riddled with injuries and doubts over player availability.  To say that it was starting to feel a lit...

Five encores and a frenetic three hour set... awesome!
