About Me

BOAT is a Fall River influenced band from the greater Fall River area.
BOAT formed in early 2007 and are preparing for an upcoming E.P.
Deal with it.
THE SECRET INGREDIENTS TO BOAT: 1. Without having any previous ideas, and without listening to any sort of guitar tracks, record as many drum tracks as you can with no rhyme or reason. A good session is 30+ tracks in under 90 minutes.
2. Guitar. You are allowed to listen to the first 5-8 seconds of the drum track just to know how to start the song. After that, its all magic. One take, shutup and deal with it. Constant shredding.
3. Second guitar track? Sure, just shred over the previous track. Don't remember what you played? Fuck it, record over it anyway. It should sound...alright.
4. Vocals. This is where the magic happens. Due to the mangled mustache of music you just layed down, the vocals are the real bread and butter of the songs. Take some time, get clever with the vocals. Always add enough gang vocals for the kids to take over.
5. Roll in money.
