Ripped Kilts [Schoolwave Band 2009]

It was a dark, cold and rainy night of January. 3 dudes and a girl didn't know what to do and due to their constant boredom they made a band. So Panagiotis Vasilas, Thanasis Anastasiou, Ioanna Mertsari and Alexandros Athanasiou formed Kilts. But 7 days later they decided that they would need an extra guitar to achieve some better sound so they asked from Panagiotis Karachalios to join the band as a rythm guitar. And he accepted. Between Panagiotis and Thanasis the idea for a band existed a long long time ago when still Thanasis was performing as a guitarist. So,at 21st January an epic page in the history of punk was written. Those guyz had an ambition. To go to the Schoolwave Festival. A festival in Greece where young groups perform on stage. So they started working on a cover of Bad Religion(American Jesus).Well working is a relative term coz they've been looking for the drum tabs for a month and every once and a while they were fighting. But at last they made a poor quality demo and send it at the schooligans,the magazine of the Schoolwave fest to check out if they would participate. And a few weeks later they found out that the guyz that are making the festival would like to hear them again,! And this time in front of them,in the big audiences-chamber(located in Athens/Gazi) , in a 10 minute performance. And then the band, instead of making it's own crap, Alexandros thought that it would be better to do another cover, this time of Less Than Jake. But the dudes from the festival asked for some of their own shit and then the kids were like WOOOOPS? WTF? Of course due to the lack of experience and their small age, they were just 16, were eliminated :Then Alexandros was constantly forcing out the worst of himself and ruined almost everyone of their rehearsals. But beside this the guyz made their own track, called Rouvalitsa. They also performed a small live at their basement. And that was when Alex was dismissed from the band at 18th of May after 4 months in the RK's. In 3 months period the remaining members have completed about 15 songs, and the 5 of them are their own. They went to the studio and made their new demo. They have also played @ kne festival,@ theatre "Aliki Vougiouklaki''-Vrilissia,@ Rodeo Live Club,@ AnClub-''Battle Of The Bands'',@ Jesters Live Club,@ Kyttaro Live Club -Schoolwave Saturdays,@ Texas Necropolis where lots and lots of people were present and cheered for them...The KiltS have gained the admiration and the impressions from all their funs and the people who know them and have seen them performing live...ThAnK U!(special thankz to Alex and Frixos for helping us in our songs...)For all the support!U guyz R the shit!Love U!hope you'll always be there for us.respect!pan1-pan2-8anos-johanna.-I am 90% Punk Rock.
