Sound Combustion, a game of two halves!
One side is the experimental electronic music production using reason 4.
The other is the soundtrack work under the banner of Small Screen Adventures.Motion is a new track which was written for the latest project entitled...err..."Motion"! It is an attempt to write a vibrant piece of music with some of the sonic splashes and explosions that I grew up with!"Mexico City Drugs run" is an imaginary chase scene where the drug dealer has to move his goods by the end of the evening, but he is not sure if he is being pursued by the Narcotic Detectives. As the night moves on he becomes increasingly paranoid, and the music reflects the confusion until the evening lays down its blanket of sultry air, and night decends on the city."Commuter Train Return Journey" is the latest revision of the track Midnight Commuter train, which has undergone a couple of minor changes and a couple of additions in an attempt to make the track more robust withour losing the basic "groove" of the original which was written in 2004."A stranger in Town". I love guitars, but I can't play one. And I would love to do an electro score for a western....so here goes!!The latest track "From a conversation on a beach" is taken from a project currently in the works to produce a CD of "lounge music" with two friends; Phil and Lucy from Dolls House Music. It was expanded from a musical sketch and developed into a more "dub" sounding track, the original being 15 bpm slower and slightly more jazzy! The project was discussed on a beach in Corfu in August 2008!! The things you do when drinking wine in the sun!Much respect goes to my Swedish colleagues from What If? and Conny Olivetti, who continually push me on when I am about to give up! Also Conny Olivetti, is the man that gave me my handle "Sound Combustion". Its always nice to know you have a mate looking out for you as well as someone who is slightly more crazy too!!! Check them out, they rock!Much respect also to Phil Ireland of Dolls House Music, who keeps giving me a kick up the arse, because I am lazy!! I will build that studio
