All those students who successfully complete Phase I will receive a certification for the basic level course. Each student will be evaluated again at the end of Phase II (3 weeks), and those who qualify will be invited to enter Phase III of the program.Phase IIIPhase III is a 12-month advanced immersion organizing course consisting of continued classroom instruction, one-on-one mentoring by an experienced organizer, and most importantly, intensive field work in the hotel industry. Students will be guided by some of the most successful union organizers in the country, including current union presidents and elected union officials from different local and international unions. During this phase, the student will have the opportunity to play a leadership role in one or more active organizing drives. The students will be given increasingly greater responsibilities and will hone their organizing skills during this phase. The L.O.T.S. program will certify those students who successfully complete Phase III as qualified Organizers or Lead Organizers, and will assist in placing them with a union’s organizing program. The L.O.T.S. program will provide assistance to students to help them meet their living expenses during their enrollment in the program.myspace layouts for Get this layout for your myspace page.
