YORK LESBIAN ARTS FESTIVAL

I am here for Networking

About Me

The York Lesbian Arts Festival takes place 23-26 October in the historic town of York.
YLAF needs your support.Become a benefactor by making a one-off donation of any amount you choose.Announcement from YLAF organisers:
“We have just been informed that Guinevere Turner is unfortunately unable to attend YLAF08. She has wished the festival well. We are sorry if this news disappoints any festival-goers, but we’re confident that this year’s festival will entertain and delight first-timers and regulars alike. More than 65 artists will be appearing over the four-day, ten-event festival and it is this combination of diverse, talented and exciting artists that makes the festival so special. We are working hard behind the scenes to bring you literature, music, comedy, queerlesque, DJs and workshops, and look forward to welcoming you to YLAF 08 very soon.”

"YLAF has been a permanent fixture on my calendar for nearly ten years. It's the best place to meet sane, sorted, intelligent, thoughtful - and lesbian - women en masse."
Manda Scott
"YLAF just gets better and better every year and this year is going to be brilliant! Whatever you do, don't miss it!"
Jenny Roberts
“Wild horses couldn’t stop me attending YLAF every year. Not least because much of the event is far wilder than the wild horses themselves.”
Stella Duffy
YLAF 08 is back to four days with six stunning events: The Love Lottery Games Night on Thursday 23 October is a fun-filled evening of matchmaking and relationship-celebrating games, hosted by
Jean T.
The two-day Book Festival on Fri 24 and Sat 25 October is already packed with leading authors and fresh voices in the world of literature.
On Friday night YLAF moves to the Grand Opera House - a first for YLAF, for a night of lesbian music and comedy.
Saturday night sees the return of Club DIVA at the Racecourse, with Sadie Lee and Claud Cunningham already confirmed.
Workshops on 23 and 24 October with Stella Duffy and Therese Szymanski/Stacia Seaman are expected to sell out fast.
