She was the third child of the 4 siblings ..She has 2 brothers, and a sister. Sheila Jane studied in a private school San Miguel Village School ever since she was in nursery to High School.. She began singing when she was 7 years old, the time when she was singing along with the radio.Her father has this passion in music and the moment he heard Sheila, He knew she has a tremendous potential. .but Her mother wanted her to finish her studies and to become successful someday.. Sheila Jane always has this passion in music that she wanted to sing on stage in front of a big audience.. Sheila Jane later sang in the LIVING WORD MINISTRY church for the first time.She is a Born again Christian ever since she was born ..The moment she sang “Amazing Grace” she captured the hearts of the audience as well.. The church pianist was amazed by her talent that he asked her to join the choir.. she was the youngest among the choir group. When she finally went to high school as a freshman it was a fresh start for her . she had to stop singing to pursue her studies.. and then came a time that her teacher asked her to sing on TV which is the “CAMPUS BEAT”, the school’s television program, which is exclusively shown only on Iligan City Cable.. after that she had been singing in school in every occasions like “Buwan ng Wika”(Month of Language), “Nutrition Month” and Sportsfest.. Her friends had encourage her to sing into some singing contest but she was too afraid to lose and felt that she wasn’t good enough.. She thought that she might be better off just singing and not competing at all..All she wanted is just to sing infront of other people on stage and entertain them and make them enjoy the music shes singing..It makes her heart so full of joy when she sees people are smiling and appreciating her singing while she performs..By the time she reached the age of 18 she felt like she was ready to join with a band and luckily her prayers were answered.. She saw a sign outside the window of the restaurant that said that there was band called “The Stonehenge”(which is the band who plays variety music) looking for a female singer.. she called the band immediately and asked for audition. And by the time she auditioned she got accepted and been singing with the band for 2 years..the band she was with were hired bands.. they played on special occasions like parties, anniversaries and sometimes they played atone of the most popular bars in Iligan City like “Da centro”, “La Esperanza” and restaurants like “Park Avenue” and also sang and played a back to back concert with 2 of the most popular singers, Vina Morales and Aiza Seguerra, in concert at Sports center in Baruy.. the band was very well known but didn’t have recordings with their music..it was very hard to be a musician in Iligan City coz they aren’t going anywhere nor to stardom not unless if they went to manila..while Sheila was with the band she also sings with the piano player she met when she was singing at her friend’s birthday..in 19th of June 2005 she finally had the nerve to join a singing contest for the first time in her life at the Iligan City Public Plaza and sang “Hero” by Mariah Carey(which is her favorite singer) and surprisingly won as the Star of the Night and after that shes been joining a lot of singing contest .By May 24,2006 she came to finland and began working with Sakari Kukko, the founding member of PIIRPAUKE. She started performing with them in Tallin,Estonia in June ,2006 and she performed also at the Joensuu Gospel Festival last July ,2006. she has been performing around finland, in churches,concert halls etc. now she's starting recording with Sakari Kukko and Samuli Mikkonen with their Gospel CD project. ************************************************************ ************** ************************************************************ ************** 12-vuotiaana hän esiintyi ensimmäisen kerran tv:ssä ja 18-vuotiaasta lähtien hän on esiintynyt tanssiyhtyeen solistina. 19-vuotiaana hän voitti "SANGKA SA AWIT"- laulukilpailun Mariah Careyn laululla "HERO". Hänen ohjelmistonsa käsittää musiikiagospelista eri maiden kansanlauluista rythm&bluesiin. Viime aikoina hän on tutustunut erityiset suomalaisiin kansanlauluihin,joihin hän on myös tehnyt englanninkielisiä tekstejä.Sheila on esiintynyt festivaaleilla Joensuussa,Kajaanissa,Kuhmossa, Kolilla,Ristijärvellä,Sotkamossa,Karjaalla, Tampereella ja Enimmäkseen Hän on esiintynyt kirkko konserteissa ympäri suomea Sakari Kukkon ja Samuli Mikkosen kanssa.Sheila Surban, Samuli Mikkonen ja Sakari Kukko trio ovat työstämässä cd-levyä. ************************************************************ *************** ************************************************************ *************** ©God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen - is a traditional christmas carol song and was first published in 1833 when it appeared in "Christmas Carols Ancient and Modern," a collection of seasonal carols gathered by William B.
