BLADELAZER

Forever burned in mind...

About Me

BladeLazer started in the summer of 2006 with members Brad Wiens (guitar), Courtney Rudd (vocals), and Jake Oddie (percussion), but struggled to find a solid permanent line up. Therefore, they were initially confined to basement shows and smaller gigs. With the finding of Courtney's former band mate and long time friend Cory Irwin by late 2007, they had a permanent bass player. Shortly there after they had the fortune of running into and befriending Sam Vieweg, who took over 2nd guitar duties, and Bladelazer finally had the line up you see today. In early 2008 Bladelazer finally took the stage with this new lineup. In this debut showing, Bladelazer was promptly banned from the venue for causing absolute chaos in their fine establishment due to overly rowdy fans!! That sound guy will never be the same!! Realizing there was something there, BladeLazer then went on a somewhat grueling string of local shows. Within 8 months Bladelazer had reached headlining status within the local heavy scene, and was playing to crowds of 350+. They gained a reputation for having a very intense and energetic live show, but still managed to maintain musicality. They were also excited to earn a spot on the 8th annual Manitoba Metal Fest 2009.With the limitless future in sight, Bladelazer prepares to record their debut full length CD, as well as take their sound on the road to a city near you!! BladeLazer is also planning a new, improved design for their myspace page...stay tuned!!
