MyGen Profile Generator Grew up on the Tweed River, Dry Dock Road, NSW border of QLD then lived at Kirra then Golden Four Drive Tugun, Gold Coast. Snuck out of boarding school in Brisbane to see Jethro Tull Concert...big influence. Entered the Australian surfing titles late 70s in Victor Harbour South Australia. Started off playing Neil Young songs, and other 70's music, mostly I was influenced by singer/songwriters and played guitar and vocals. Worked at Hooter and Nancy's Mexican restaurant in Coolangatta playing guitar and eating lots of quacamale dip. Wrote songs for Surf Movie Band On The Run with the Tim Gaze Band in Sydney. Met Dutch Tilders and ventured to Melbourne with him and was a flautist and vocalist in his band touring for a year interstate and Melbourne venues.Auditioned on flute with guitarist Tim Piper for Box Hill college of music and went there before completing a B.ED in music 1993 at Melbourne University.Keyboard player in Kelly Auty Band and my own bands doing Corporate venues. Worked with John Cameron, Scott Jorgenson, Peter Lyons.Solo Piano Player at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne for a number of years and many other five star venues.Played some great gigs solo, also hiring friends such as the great jazz musician and arranger, Gil Askey and drummer, Michael Jordan at my regular gig the Market Street Tavern, Nunawading.Recently I played some gigs with an old friend and my first guitar teacher, Mal Clarke at Ayers Rock Resort, 2007. I wrote a collection of songs for publication and was awarded two Certificates of Achievement by Unisong in the 1998 and 2001 song contests.Airplay on "Local and Live" radio show in Melbourne and 3CR with Winston Galea on Drums and Peter Howl on bass advertising gigs at The Clifton Hill Hotel and other venues. Leo Gattano Plenty Valley radio also. I am a subscriber of PBS supporting live music. Recently back from Port Douglas playing piano 5 nights a week, over eight weeks in December, January. Entertaining guests at Mantra resort playing requests and originals, why not? They loved my originals, they always do.
