About Me

Mabuhay!! I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Saipan, CNMI in 1994 then moved to the U.S. in 1998. When I meet people, the first thing they ask me is "Why El Paso?". To which I answer "Fate". lol. But you know what? I love El Paso. Granting that it's not the most exciting place to live in terms of night life and crazy shenanigans but it has excellent weather most of the time. No California brush fires, no Louisiana hurricanes and no Denver snow. Where else can you wear shorts and summer shirts in winter?
My life in the U.S. has been a great adventure. It was a rough beginning granting that I had no family when I first came over. The person who I thought I could count on dissed me for my best friend and the people who brought me to El Paso to build a business dumped the plan and they all went back to California. Left alone with no job, no friends, and nowhere to stay, I spent some winter nights in my car and showered at the truck stop. I remember vividly on my first New Year in El Paso, I got off my car on Mesa and I was just looking Juarez and the city. It was a lonely day but it marked the beginning of a new and exciting life.
I've worked hard to get to where I am and enjoy the things I have but no one to share them with. People told me to stop looking and the right person will come along. So I did. But then they started telling me that they reason why I can't find anybody is because I'm not looking. So I started looking. ha ha ha. Still no luck. I guess I suck in relationship but oh well. I'll take what I have, besides I have my friends and church mates. I have lots a room for you all. And if I may say you guys are a great blessing to me and I thank God everyday for bringing you into my life.
They say life is what we make it. So I choose to make it exciting, blissful and colorful. And I welcome those who would like to share it with me. I have enough room for friends and family so let's enjoy life together.
Oh by the way guys, in loving memory of my late nephew - he's the one on the background, and since this space is also my way of connecting to my daughter, other nephews and nieces, please keep the comments PG13 okay? If you want to send me some adult message, you can always send them to me in PVT. Salamat po!!

Mabuhay!!

Mabuhay!! An old salutation in the Philippines which of course we no longer use to each other. It was replaced with the casual "ano na" (what's up), "musta" (short for komusta which means how are...
