Abbey Stace

Abbey Tyson Stace was on her way to medical school when she realized her fascination was with the human figure as artistic rather than biological subject matter. A background in psychology has contributed to a deep interest in the determining influence of the subconscious on human emotions and behavior. Her love of anatomy and the inner workings of both the body and the mind manifest themselves in work which features figures often playfully displaced or distorted to reveal universal fears and aspirations.
Abbey lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband Wesley and their daughter Tilda.
