Band Members: Alex Castle - Guitars & Vocals
Influences: I love all music, but the artists and bands that really got me excited about music growing up were Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Jars of Clay, Korn, Tool, and Victor Wooten. I have recently been heavily influenced by artists like Jack Johnson, Matt Costa, ALO, and James Blunt.
Sounds Like: I like to tell people I'm surfer rock. My music is mostly chill and easy-going. Also, a lot of my newer songs have a lot of stoner references. I'm one of those musicians that wants to encourage the herb, and as an individual, I proudly stand for the legalization of marijuana. Why? Because it was made illegal due to Southern racism against the Mexican culture (workers would smoke on their breaks and then take their siestas, but since that wasn't the white way of working, Texan lawmakers accused Mexicans of violent crimes on the influence of marijuana). Also, how can a plant that grows from the earth be evil? That would suggest that mankind can determine what on our planet is good and bad. Last I checked, mankind still suffers from racism, war, rape, and other forms of hate. I think we all need to sit back, smoke a blunt, and listen to my acoustic jams!
