About Me

A heart monitor can display two extremes: Death and Life. Much like that heart monitor, LifeLinez has experienced the extremes from mainstream hip-hop to inspirational rap, from depression to expression and from street life to Christ-like. These experiences can be found in the music and person of LifeLinez. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C.At 12 years old, LifeLinez began to find his talent when rapping with other neighborhood kids. Those rhymes began to transform into a lifestyle of drugs, alcohol, crime and a direct rebellion against God. While other teens enjoyed homecoming games and sleepovers, he spent his time shadowing drug dealers, assaulting crack addicts and performing at night clubs. His talent later open doors for him to meet and/or open shows for artist such as Keith Murray, Busta Rhymes, and Outkast. It was not until his father’s suicide, that Lifelinez began to think about his life and the direction in which it was going. With much soul searching LifeLinez made a choice to confess and repent of his sins and to accept Jesus the Christ as his Lord and Savior. With a new life ahead of him, God delivered him from bad habits in months what it took others years to be free from. He decided to give up everything familiar to him, the streets, his friends and his music. He purposed in his heart to never rap again, until he heard God speak directly to him saying, “How can you keep what I have given?” After hearing God’s voice, he realized that his talent of rapping did not belong to him, but to God.LifeLinez is on a mission to do what no other has attempted, take Gospel rap mainstream to a place that has been void of the Gospel for years. With his style, delivery, word play and street sound it is no limit to what he can achieve in the music industry. He says “the Gospel is the good news. Though Christ came to save us from sin, He also came that we might have life. That’s the life we live now on earth. And to have this life more abundantly. My music can’t save, heal or set free, Jesus does that. But I make music to inspire you. To inspire you to seek God, inspire you to get off the path of a thug’s life and inspire you to reach for more. This is my mission, to put life back into music.” LifeLine Performance
