I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

I'm just your average philosopher/poet/starving artist. Because of my proclivity to embrace the beauty within me instead of the money without, I must wield my mechanical skills to pay the rent. I try to be a good friend to everyone I know - and I usually succeed - but I can't help but be a rat bastard at the poker table. When I'm not turning wrenches or writing or editing photographs I've taken, you can find me watching movies, reading hundreds of books, playing with my pet snake, Caden, or sulking because of my lack of income.Life is good :)

I'd like to meet:

Hmmmm...what am I looking for in a companion? Someone courageous and self-confident who isn't afraid to speak her mind even when her opinion may fly in the face of my own. She should be pretty, but not conceited; joyful, but not airheaded; brilliant, but not distant or cold. She should be charming and witty and sexual - able to make me a better person by proximity alone. These shoes have been worn before, and they are not easily filled. Good luck :)

The Bible is worth a read even if you're not a Christian, simply because so much of the mythos of America is drawn from it.

Heroes:

My Grandfather - greatest man I know - and my cousin Bennett Paige - toughest person, male or female, ever. Nico Di Mattia for his inhuman talent for illustration, R. Scott Bakker for his deftness with the English language, Carroll Shelby for his driving automotive passion and Samuel Clemens for giving me true perspective on what it means to suffer.

12,500 feet above sea level

Today marked the first time I exited a plane in mid-flight.  Although I have used the machines for travel more than a hundred times before, I can honestly say that nothing they've done for me in ...

The Muse returns.

Have you ever had a moment where it seemed like the fragmented pieces of the present came together in a beautiful burst of clarity?  I just had one of those and it dealt with four troublesome cha...

On the metaphysics of thought.

The past few days have forced me to consider the metaphysics of thought in its most basic iteration - focus.  When I speak of focus, I'm using the operational definition, ability to consider a si...

It is to see a traitor go free It is to feel a filter in me It is to leave the lights that I saw It is to ask: is it easy to go In this dead hour Here with you Seconds are worthless In this dead hour...

My zoom-zoom is WAY bigger than yours.
