I am trying to let life guide my path instead of my path guiding my life, in other words seeing where life takes me. I studied the Middle East but now am doing something completely different. I am living in the East Bay working with a team to design a charter school in East Oakland. The school will be dedicated to equity and social justice, to community and multiculturalism (in the best sense of the word) and all of this by and through art! I am going to be working in a school while pursuing my teaching credential and will eventually be a first grade teacher. I recently moved to the Oakland area and am continually meeting amazing people. Also I spend many of my evenings dancing.
