About Me

Born and raised on Aruba on august 10th 1979.son of Adolfo "pancho" Bonarriba and mother victoria "vicky" Dijkhoff.Jeremy's dad pancho is a professional drummer so he got the guidance from his dad from a really young age.at 12 years he started to play in local folk groups and dance orchestras.such as placentero ritmo y cuerde, tipico los amigos ,grupo tigo and quasi amongst others.at the age of 18 he landed his first professional gig with a funk rock and jazz group called jemm at a small bar downtown by the name of the cellar.in 2000 jeremy was doing gigs as a freelance player doing work from carnival music with dushi band to jazz concerts with ivan jansen.in 2002 while doing a gig in st.martin he got in touch with an old buddy singer roger peterson that at the time had a top ten hit on the radio called "happy" in holland and was looking for a drummer.so jeremy agreed to participate with his band.he moved to the netherlands and collaborated on two albums and doing countless performances through out the country.in the winter of 2004 jeremy decided to come back to aruba.he kept working freelance and kept studying going to the drummers collective in New york and to drum camps etc. in 2008 jeremy landed a gig as the musical director of a jazz club wich is Mr.jazz by Chucho Valdez.after a year and a half jeremy decided to take a break before starting to teach full time at the music school "scol di musica Rufo Wever".At the moment I am enjoyingl life, family and music on my beautiful sunny island "Aruba".Take care,God Bless, Jeremy.{}
