About Me

People say i'm a bit of a free spirit, i certainly don't like to stay in one place for too long. I love to travel (mainly developing countries) and don't like to live a conventional life. We are only here in this life once and so should live it to the max. Although i do believe in re-incarnation and think its important to be the best we can be and to learn as much as possible to prepare us for all our lives to come. Some think i have mad ideas, i prefer to think i am spiritual, individual........ ok and perhaps a little bit mad!I have been travelling since the age of sixteen when i started with a month long trip to the states, my god mother put me on a bus to L.A. and off i went, the travel bug had well and truly taken hold. At the age of eighteen i lived in Zimbabwe and worked as a voluntary teacher in a rural school with no running water and no electricity, it was there i met one of my very best friends (Nation Chikumba you know its you!)and had what can only be described as a life changing experience. I fell head over heels in love with the amazing continent and returned a year later, this time visiting East Africa and going on to live on a small island just off the coast of Kenya.Since then i have travelled extensively, visiting Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, Holland, Indonesia, India, Israel, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, U.S.A., Zambia and Zimbabwe.Between trips i have found the time to train as an intensive care nurse and to gain City and Guilds qualifications in photography. Specialising in travel photography and portraiture I have exhibited my images in The City Gallery Leicester and in Waterstones in Nottingham.
