About Me

My Story

My name is Brian and I'm a musician (Hi Brian) It's been 2 days since my last song. For me it all started in High School, all the "cool" kids we're doing it and I got sucked in. It was casual at first, restringing guitars on the weekends for "kicks", then before I knew it I was writting songs for cash to buy more guitars, whoreing myself out at session after session just to catch a whiff of tube amps. I even tried kicking once. First I tried cold turkey, and when that didn't work I tried weening myself off it by switching to acoustic for a while. And after all that I came to one Perfect and Immutible truth... My name is Brian, and I am, a musician.

In my other life I'm an Emergency Medical Technician, working for a 911 ambulance service. It's a pretty cool job all in all. I get to help people, and in my down time, I get paid to play and sing in the engine bay. I love the acoustics in there. It's kinda like singing in the bathroom, but better, so all you professional shower vocalists out there should know what I mean. I'm going back to school for Nursing, and for the first time in a long time, I'm excited to go back. I used to fly a lot a few years back, so who knows, maybe I can combine the two someday.

Hope you drop a line and say Hi. Especially if I haven't heard from you in a while.

End of long day.

24 hours on the clock... Pull up the driveway. Walk in. Get changed. Put on favorite jeans and comfy t-shirt. Open refrigerator door. Grab a beer... add a lime. Walk onto porch, and out onto yard...

It just hit me

As predicted, it took 24 hours to sink in. My hands started to shake as I was mustering up the courage to tell Ron. They haven't stopped yet.    That is all.

For all of you who didn't come to the last show...

Here's what you missed. Patti Labelle made an impromptu appearance to the show and performed "Two Steps Away" with us. It was one of the highlights of my career up to this point. This was my first tim...

I never know what to write for these damn things.

Like I said. I never know what to write for a blog. It seems like everyone else does it better than me. I'll see an idea, format, style, for their blog and go, Damnit!, why didn't I think of that. So ...
