2. I agree to engage in peaceful and productive exchanges with the fellow underground artists of my city, state, and region for the sake of positive networking and communication.
3. I will strive to produce, write, record, design, market, and promote quality musical products to the best of my ability. This also means striving to be original throughout the creative process.
4. I understand that the recording studio and the performance stage are both vitally important to the development of my talents and skills as a recording and performance artist, therefore I must utilize these factors to enhance and perfect my artistic expression.
5. I know that while money is a necessary factor of life in the world today, artistic integrity has a priceless value.
6. I realize that graffiti as a visual art is an important fundamental aspect of the culture of hip hop.
7. I realize that turntablism or deejaying as a musical art is a fundamental aspect of the culture of hip hop.
8. I realize that b-boying or breaking as a dance art is a fundamental aspect of the culture of hip hop.
9. I realize that emceeing or rapping as a poetic verbal art is a fundamental aspect of the culture of hip hop.
10. I realize that beatboxing and beatmaking as musical arts are fundamental aspects of the culture of hip hop.
