If you were anywhere near the N.C. scene back in the mid eighties you'd know the name LEXX LUTHOR meant "Rolling Party!" Formed back in the late fall of 1984, the band took its first formation under the guidance of bassist Joe Baker, drummer Neal Dennis, lead Guitarist John Bateman, rhythm Guitarist Todd Jackson, and vocal virtuoso Mickey Wetherington. Busting straight out of the non-existent music scene in Kinston, N.C., the guys rode through every club and hell-hole across the state. Boasting a set of cover tunes that included a heavy blend of METALLICA, QUEENSRYCHE, METAL CHURCH, DIO, PAT TRAVERS, SAXON, MOTORHEAD, CELTIC FROST, and more, they caught on quick with audiences who were dazzled by the precision in which they played the songs, plus the spectacle which became the stage show they would become known for.
