The Fletchers

About Me

A wealthy lady casts off her family estate and worldly riches to ride deep into the countryside with her gypsy love. Two lovers tease each other with impossible tasks to win each others hearts. A mother eases her child’s fears in an Irish castle. One woman waits for her sailor love to return to her on the shore, while another travels 10,000 miles across the ocean to join her exiled love. These are songs of different times. They are experiences from long ago. But we can still live them today. Join us on a Journey of Ancient Souls, and experience love with an age old intensity.A Journey Of Ancient Souls started off with a revival of medieval songs as the destination. However it soon turned into a springboard for new creation as Jeff and Christina Fletcher got deeper and deeper into the rich and exciting material that was often watered down with passing time through oral tradition or missing the core essence that the Fletchers felt was the hidden key to their music, basically that songs have to take the listener somewhere, either to far off places or just deeper into the human heart. Upon research, they found that most of their selected songs had numerous versions, some with hundreds of broken lyrics, why not then add one more and make their own. “We’re inspirationalists, not traditionalists.” Says Jeff Fletcher. “It is like these songs were started off hundreds of years ago, and enjoyed by the people of that time. Now its like we're bringing them back and breathing new life into them.” Christina Fletcher adds. But this album is hardly just re-arranged old songs. Jeff Fletcher took 9 months solid in re-composing melodies, composing alternative tunes, and creating new lyrics, making A Journey of Ancient Souls a seamless passage of love songs that carry its listener from hearts of long ago, to lovers of today. Band Members: Jeff Fletcher- lead vocals, composer, lyricist, musical arranger, conductor, mandolin, guitar, percussion, hurdy gurdy, backing vocals_______________ Christina Fletcher- lead vocals and backing vocals, lyricist (and support team!)
Influences: Abraham/Hicks, Seth, Neale Donald Walsch, Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Ramtha. We're very careful what we listen to and what we create, as music has the ability to change your vibration in your everyday, and what you vibrate you attract. If you are listening to negative things, and letting that be the basis of your day, negative results occur. These influences have reminded us how to create our day, by making a better vibration and we thank them along with the birds, the trees and the beautiful world we live in.
