I did what? Where was I? um, actually that sounds about right.

About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in English from Stonybrook University, and I am currently on the road to a law school of some sort (maybe). My greatest passion is writing music and playing bass. I also love to write, but I never seem to write anything down. When I'm not playing or writing I usually pick up suspiscious hitchhikers and tell them my life story. It's much cheaper than a psychologist.

My Interests

writing and playing Music is what it's all about for me, but it always makes me thirsty for expensive European beer. ..

I'd like to meet:

Old friends I haven't seen in a while mostly. ..

Music:

Alice in Chains, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dokken, Electric Light Orchestra, Fantomas, Gwar, Headrivenoise, Interpol, Jane's Addiction, The Killers, L7, (old) Megadeth, Napalm Death, Opeth, Pantera, Queen, Rancid, Sinatra, Thursday, Unearth, Violent Femmes, the Who, X...um...uh... Yes, and Zappa. That's one for every letter of the alphabet, and there are many, many more. ..

Movies:

Tarantino, Kaufman, Kubrick, Coppola (not Sofia), Scorsese, Broken Lizard, and maybe Lucas because I'm sentimental. Most anything else is a waste of time (except for Napoleon Dynamite, of course). ..

Television:

The Simpsons, which in my opinion includes the Family Guy and anything on Adult Swim, because most of that is recycled Simpsons with more vulgarity inserted for the shock value (I'm not saying it's not funny). Also, that dubbed-Japanese show that Spike TV calls MXC is brutally funny. Oh and I am now hopelessly addicted to The Hills. When will Heidi wake up and realize that Spencer is a total sleeze? ..

Books:

Too many to list. Poe and Steinbeck if I had to single two out. The Canterbury tales are amazing, I really enjoy Old English poetry like Beowulf, and I think Oscar Wilde is f'in great stuff. Shakespeare is still brilliant of course, particularly the histories. I just finished Brave New World, and I am also reading criticism on Lord of the Flies. ..

Heroes:

None ..

My Blog

to catch the elusive (blank)

I have spent countless nights searching for it, and yet it seems to be there all day long, just beyond my reach.  I feel terrible without it, yet I consistently refuse it.  When I final...

Just to let you know

This chandelier contains at least 1 of every bone in the human body.  It was constructed in a church in what is now the Chech Republic by a half-blind monk.  That's all for now.

Retiring after this summer

I think I am officially retiring after this summer.  The mind and body can only take so much abuse.  10 years is a long time.  It seems like the days go by so much quicker when you can'...

Cheers to getting old

Alright folks, here are the choices: 1.  Grow up, get a job that you hate, have the average 1.5 kids (or whatever the damned average is right now) and wait until I'm old crippled and 60 to actual...

Why America is the most baddest assed country in the world.

I was just thinking about the running of the bulls in Pamplona, (sp?) Spain.  Those guys sure are crazy.  "let's release a bunch of bulls on a street and then run away from them as fast as w...

These are some lyrics I'm working on.  Let me know what you think.  Verse 1: The Norseman shapes his truest friend, Drowned then scorched then once again. A blue-black barrel coldly waits, ...
