It all started in 1994. I went to a party at the Roxy NYC, Frankie Bones was djing. Never been to anything like this before. I instantly fell in love. Had no concept that there was a dj spinning records, all i know that the music was awesome and i wanted to make it. It became my obsession, the music. This seemed like what i was looking for all my life. It was not long before i got my first set of turntables. It took me years to even figure out what the hell i was doing, i had no one to show me anything. I used to go to parties and watch the dj's spin. I was at a party every weekend for years, it wasn't long before i got caught up in the whole drug scene. It turned to being more about the drugs than the music. So yes, i was one who contributed to the destruction of the scene. I believe that is what happened to the scene. Me showing up at parties became less and less. Somehow through my whole drug career, i never sold my technics 1200s. I sold pretty much everything else. My whole drug career came to a screeching halt in 1999, thank god. I was a broken man, spiritually bankrupt! God saw fit to bless me with his grace. He reached down and pulled me out of HELL! I got sober in september of 1999 and have remained since. Shortly after i started getting back into djing. I started throwing my own parties for certain organizations. However it wasn't working out to my liking. I was not a request dj or a wedding dj. I could not find the right people to hook up with, or even where to look. I became very discouraged and kind of gave up on the dream. Then a few years ago some people came into my life that were instrumental in my life, as far as the music and a lot of other things go. The fire was kind of sparked again. With the help of a very inportant person, i took charge of my life in a sense. I finally had the confidence to chase that dream. I went to SAE Institute of Technology NYC. A very accredited audio engineering school, with my focus on electronic music production. Dam, i learned so much more. That brings me to present focusing on producing my own tracks. I want to give back to the scene now. I put together a little project studio in my house. Starting to spin records again. New vinyl does wonders. I am currently employed at U-Phonic records in Philadelphia.
