About Me

I find it nearly impossible to describe myself. Not that I'm not self-aware... its just... what do you say? Hey, I'm tons of fun! To which you would say 'really? you wrote really boring shit about yourself'...Anyway... my friends would describe me as a fucking riot... always up for anything, with the absolute inability to say no. I'm generous to a fault, and extremely loyal. What do I like to do? Nearly anything. Well, lets rephrase that. I do NOT like the typical cheesy ass things that people write about themselves. For instance... hiking. If as many people hiked as SAY they hike.. the fucking hills of DC would be covered with people. I've yet to encounter a single hiker. Ever. I DO like drinking martinis' and solving the world's problems through conversation with my friends. I'm not big on dancing.. except when I'm drunk.. and then suddenly I'm the abba dancing queen. If you want to say hi on IM... feel free... I'm Erin2466

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Any non-plastic girls out there? I'm so tired of girls who talk about pink purses and pink shoes.. and how 'pink is the new black' whatever THAT means. In fact... I would like to meet a girl who doesn't even OWN anything pink. Like me. Really I'd just like to meet some cool fun people in my area...

Music:

I still think the 80s was the best decade for music in the history of time. This includes.. The Smiths, The Pixies, The Cure... any band starting with 'the' (kidding). Love Bob Schneider, though nobody but my friend Angi and I have ever heard of him... I'm big on making mixed CDs with whatever song I'm currently obsessed with. I'm loving how music lately is sounding more and more like the 80s alternative stuff I grew up with... Postal Service, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers ...Brittney Spears and Christina Aguileria, and anybody who ever appeared on American Idol can just fall over and die.Oh.. and one more thing..I'm so fucking sick of radio stations playing shit that was popular 10+ years ago.. like nirvana, pearl jam etc... fucking make an oldies station for that shit and give new artists a chance!

Movies:

All time favorites - and part of my limited DVD collection are -Silence of the Lambs, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Panic Room, Kissing Jessica Stein, Overboard, Finding Nemo, Kill Bill, Austin Powers 3, Oceans 11, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Ellen Degeneres Here and Now, The Ring , True Lies... and latest favorite.. Mulholland Dr (am I the only one who LOVED this fucked up movie?)

Television:

Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The L Word, Alias, and of course... the recently departed.. Sex and the City...

Books:

The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club - by Laurie Notaro.. is possibly the funniest thing I've ever read..Dry - Augusten Burroughs... again, funny.. .but very .. .sobering (pun intended)Running With Scissors- Augusten Burroughs again.. hysterical and demented! The Lovely Bones- Alice Sebold... okay is there a person alive who didn't read this last year?Intensity - Dean Koontz.. most suspenseful, scary thing I've ever read!

Heroes:

Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Mother Theresa. NYPD, FDNY, and all others who worked to save people's lives during 9/11. Every man and woman in the armed services.
