My love for God, my Ohana and my fur baby Harley reign first and foremost in my life. They have instilled values in me by which I govern my everyday existence. I walk with God. My parents have set the bar for who I have become and all that I have yet to be. My siblings (by blood or marriage) and my nieces are the very breath of me. My fur baby, Harley, is my heart. Unconditional & enduring love is a constant here. They are the yardstick by which I measure my life & my worth.
I grew up with the privilege of being a military brat which has afforded me experiences that have embedded in me a desire to explore & maximize my life in every aspect. My love of travel & exploration derives from this. My respect and gratitude to those who have served and serve today was conceived & nurtured because of this.
My purpose is Hula & the Hawaiian Culture. That which was once my passion has evolved into a purpose in my life. I am a haumana (student) of the Hula & the Hawaiian Culture in as many aspects as the aina & its people will afford me. I believe in learning, preserving and perpetuating. I am a student of Halau o Keikialii under the auspices of Kumu Hula Kawika Keikialiihiwahiwa Alfiche, who I admire immensely & am indebted to. I am humbled by that which lies in front of me and a history of people & their land, which stands behind me. I will continue to expand my effort to become a facilitator, a student, a vessel of Hula & the Hawaiian Culture through my journey & education with the Halau, Kumu Kawika, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo Kipuka Native Hawaiian Student Center-Nuiakea Hawaiian Culture DL Program.
I have many passions which could possibly borderline on obsession…**I am obsessed with Harley Motorcycles….I love motorcycles in general but Harleys reign supreme…LIVIN’ to RIDE – stand on it!. ** M.A.C. attacks…you’ll find me at the M.A.C. store/counter doing WAY too much. ** Music and Dancing are interwoven in the fabric of my being. ** French Manicures & Pedicures are a must. ** Sushi feeds my body & soul. ** SHOES, purses, jewelry & shopping in general are some of my biggest weaknesses…I’m a girly girl!!! I have to have a closet full of clothes & some of them still HAVE TO have tags on them. Hate wearing things twice …but, practicality dictates that I must recycle the gear…but it’ll be a minute before I do …The Gemini in me has to have it all…and do it my way…LOL! But for the right moment or person…I can be flexible…
The love of my friends, fill my world with all that is beautiful. They are the epitome of the old adage “look to my friends and you’ll know who I am”…They are exquisite inside –out & outside- in. Anyone fortunate enough to love them or be loved by them is considered favorable indeed. My life is in abundance because of them.
