About Me

WHAT IS S4AC?
Search 4 a Cause is a multi-charity scavenger hunt designed to offer people a fun way to raise money for the charity of their choice. Many people want to do some type of charity work, or fundraising, but aren't sure how to go about it. We make it easy. Just search 4 a cause that you believe in, raise some funds, and come have a great time.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Basically, teams of 3-6 people will run rampant all over an area of Los Angeles solving puzzles, finding clues and taking goofy pictures to earn money for the charity of their choice. All you have to do is pick your charity and register with S4AC.
WHEN IS IT?
The First one was on June 3, 2007.
NEXT S4AC IS COMING SPRING 2009! (exact date TBD).
WHERE IS IT?
It will take place in Santa Monica/Venice. If you're interested in having one in YOUR city, let us know. We're interested in expanding this nationwide.
WHO IS IT? S4AC was created by Frank Prather, aka Bad Ass Frank . After years of participating/sponsoring any charity event that came his way, BAF decided he wanted to help others experience the joy of, well, helping others. Because he didn't have a specific cause that he supported, he wanted to find a way to allow people to help out ANY charity that they felt strongly about. He also wanted to create an event that would attract people already doing charitable work/fundraising, along with those who wanted to take their first step into helping make the world a better place.

REGISTRATION is easy. Simply send an email to [email protected] and include the following information:
CONTACT NAME
CONTACT PHONE NUMBER
CONTACT EMAIL
CHARITY YOU'RE PLAYING FOR (if you have one)
WHETHER YOU'RE AN INDIVIDUAL OR HAVE A TEAM
You'll receive a reply confirming your registration.
The registration fee a contribution payable DIRECTLY TO THE CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE. Any amount will do. S4AC simply collects your check/money order and sends it to the organization for whom you play. Teams are encouraged to seek sponsors/contributors and raise money. Ask us to help you figure out how to go about raising funds!
If you want to participate but don't have a team, contact us and we'll help you join an existing team. Doesn't matter if you're one person, two people or 20 people, we can accomodate you. Or, if you can't be in the LA area, let us know if you'd like to contribute/sponsor a team or charity!
REQUIREMENTS:
Each team must have at least one person with a vehicle. We provide the rest. That's how easy it is.
