“Ahiphema” is a rock band from napoli (italy) formed in 2005 by a project of the guitarist, marco caruso, and the drummer rosario bizzarro. They start their career as cover band . with lots of collaborations with singers, bassists, and other guitarists, start playing some gigs in several clubs of napoli. In 2006 the guitarist arianna marino, the singer antonio pappalardo and the bassist davide amodeo join the group and the formation seem to be settled. They start now composing their own songs. From the first moment they tried to incorporate serveral different styles and genders of music, with a strong influence of rock, crossover and funky. Their music often involves both strong sounds and melodic accompainments. In july 2007 ahiphema record their first demo with four songs in “crisma 33” studio, contining playing gigs and joining music contests. few months later, their formation changes again when antonio and then davide leave the group. The remainig members start immediately composing new songs and to arrange again old ones, with the stronger intent to create something innovative. In the meanwhile the band welcomes Dimitri Monopoli as new singer, that gives a stroke of crossover to ahiphema’s music. September 2008 marks a turning-poin of the career of the band when the label Enjoy Record propose them an agreement for a worldwide distribution of their music. So the first ep “desert place” is born. Now ahiphema are engaged in composing and recording new songs, and planning a tour around italy.
